The background to this is a black colored pencil scanned in as line art. It kinda had the desired effect I was going for, kinda not.Also, I have an awful cold right now. Well, the worst part was on Tuesday and it's going away, but still. It was a real ass kicker. Now the rest of my family's sick. Woe is us.

Have you ever tried drawing with a China Marker? You get some really nice and easily scan-able shading, even scanned as line art.
