MY IMPRESSION THEN: My first Guided By Voices concert.

Going through an old box of my drawings last night and I found the comic I did about my first GBV concert for the Athens, Georgia free weekly Flagpole Magazine. Seems like a lifetime ago. At the time, that was the best Pollard I could draw. This was right after Do the Collapse came out and I was digging how polished it sounded while still loving their earlier work. After getting into Mag Earwig shortly after it was released, I somehow missed them on that tour. If I can recall correctly, the tickets were ten bucks. Not sure if I stand behind 100% of these hot takes seventeen years later, but what the hell...
